The Cardiff Giant was one of the most famous hoaxes in American history. I visited him at the Fenimore Museum (a cool little museum featuring Cooperstown area agricultural history and the life of legendary author James Fenimore Cooper and his family)

At 36 feet tall — this might be the tallest “big guy” on the site yet!
I arrived just minutes after the Magic Forest closed. Fortunately, Uncle Sam is located in the parking lot so I was able to snag him. I couldn’t take my bike in — so I hung my helmet on the gate : )

Another fine example of something “big” at Magic Forest. I was able to snap his photo from the parking lot after closing time.
I suspect that this is a former Muffler Man, but he has much more detail in his face than most — nice paint job!

Magic Forest is a mecca for for “big things”. Unfortunately, I got there just after closing time and I could only snag what was visible from the parking lot.
In fact, I wasn’t even allowed to ride onto the lot so I had to walk over and snap pics (yes, that’s my helmet at Santa’s feet)
