Two-Story Outhouse

Two-Story Outhouse

Gays, Illinois

Ray says:
This two-story outhouse (located in Gays, Illinois) was once attached by a walkway to a two-story building that contained a general store on the ground floor and a residence upstairs.

In case you are wondering how it worked, as most visitors do, the upstairs holes were offset from the downstairs holes and the “drop zone” was concealed behind a false–but not soundproof–wall! The store and residence are long gone, but the outhouse has been preserved in a small park.

Indeed, you have spotted me! I was fleetering about southern IL during my run to Moonshine!

So nice of them to put the walkway on the second story. You know, for a nice after business stroll on the veranda.

    “drop zone” 😆
