Like Bill, I often find that zigging when one should have zagged makes for great unexpected finds 🙂
Also, check out the videos and links at the end of this post for a look inside the Atlanta White House!
Wrong turn makes a find. I was looking to meet someone in Atlanta and zigged when I should have zagged. I saw this house and it looked familiar. After turning around I saw the sign, Atlanta White House. As you know, I had to find a place to park a snap some photos.
This Atlanta mansion is a 3/4 sized replica of the White House and it’s located at 3687 Briarcliff Road NE. The house was built by Atlanta home builder Fred Milani, an American citizen born in Iran. Inside the facade the Atlanta White House includes a hodgepodge of details include religious images, American political iconography and McMansion details like coffered ceilings, wrought iron banisters and a sweeping staircase. The home also includes an Oval Office with a replica of George W. Bush’s desk and there is a Lincoln bedroom with a picture of Lincoln and the Emancipation Proclamation painted on a bedroom wall.
