This was the second day of my trip back east. I was off the interstate, enjoying slightly cooler weather than the previous day’s blast furnace, and happily traveling along US-60, which bought me to Springerville Arizona, home of the second-to-last Madonna Of The Trail.
Springerville is a small town; the highway becomes Main Street for about twelve blocks and if you don’t slow to the posted speed limit you will be contributing to the annual revenues for the town, I betcha.
Madonna is next to the drive-thru lane of McDonalds, which makes it easy to pull the bike up onto the sidewalk for a photo op. The weather was as beautiful as it looks in the pictures 🙂
