I was out wandering around this afternoon and I thought that I’d stop and show you one of my favorite places: Kristy’s Whistle Stop in Enola, Pennsylvania. Kristy’s has been around since at least the 1960s (under several different names, I believe).

Along the Susquehanna River’s western shore in Wormleysburg, the Pennsylvania Office of the American Legion boasts a great 1970s era split-wing building (shared with the PA Legion Auxiliary).

I took this by Carthage, MO along Route 66. It was built by a local artist, Lowell Davis, titled Flying “Crap” Duster. Built from a horse drawn manure spreader!
