Mike snagged some photos of the Lady Liberty at Chimborazo Park in Richmond, Virginia! According to the Boy Scouts of America, there are over 200 “Little Sister of Liberty” statues across the United States. The replicas were commissioned and sold in the 1950s – to celebrate scouting’s 40th anniversary.

My father was a big civil war buff and I remember him discussing the civil-ear era Chimborazo Hospital. The park exists on the former grounds of the hospital (for more information, see links at the end of this post)

Is there a BSA Liberty statue in your area?
