Like many 60s-era scooters, this Lambretta sat unused for many years before an organization called the Eastern Scooter Racing Association formed in 2002 with the intent of turning fun, carefree little machines into serious racers.

As in all racing, there are classes designed to even out the level of  competition, and after extensive modification by mechanic Stuart Werner to bring it up to track standards, this Lambretta competed.

In 2005, 39 years after the machine was built, Roland Henry rode this Lambretta to an ESRA class championship.
