Amanda says:
This is one cool building…at least the front of it anyway! The parts that we got pictures of appears to be the only fully standing remains. It’s located on Main Street in Klamath Falls, Oregon.
It was originally the Balsinger Ford showroom that was built in 1929. In recent years, the building was used as an office for Cell-Tech, a holiday donation center for the Salvation Army, and a warehouse. It was restored in 2007 and is now known as the “Egyptian Event Center”. There was a roof collapse in 2007 from heavy snow and some reports say that was taken care of and the building again restored, other reports don’t specify but when we were there, the whole back portion of the building was collapsed. However, when we peeked inside, there were many tables set up and dressed up for what appeared to be a fancy event.
I did find this website (the Egyptian Event Center) where they still advertise for weddings, receptions, and other functions, so I’m not sure what the story behind this mysterious Egyptian themed building really is.

Just FYI
