submitted by “Road Runner” (Bill)

Bill says:
The Water Tower was erected in 1928 to maintain water pressure on the island. It is 126 feet (38.5 meters) tall and provides a marvelous panoramic view of  Nassau.

This historic Water Tower was built with funds provided by the United States Government to reward the Bahamas for Nassau’s role in storing bootleg liquor during Prohibition.
