I found myself on a wide plain dotted with massive structures … what a trip — it’s the Very Large Array!
The radio antennae (I think there are 27 of them, which can be moved around to configure the Array in various ways) are HUGE and I got the best picture I could from the highway shoulder, which doesn’t really give a good idea of the scale of the thing.
