I have to admit that this is one post that makes me a little sad. If you check Google to see other images of these two distinctive arrows, which used to stand proudly at The Twin Arrows Truck Stop, you’ll find a pictorial history of their steady deterioration. The desert is taking its toll on them and they probably won’t stand much longer. I suppose that it’s just the way things go. Somehow it would just seem wrong if someone would try to rebuild/restore them; but I wish their “ghosts” could last just a little longer.

It is kind of sad, you’re right. So many landmarks in such a vast country, many of them disappearing.
