		<description>Here is a little bit of history relating to Ms Mattie.  She donated much of the land for the cemetery - including the city cemetery.  She was quite upset when she learned that there were actally UNION soldiers buried on the city side that she hada large row of trees planted between the confederate and the city cemeteries so no one in the confederate cemetery would have to look at union soldiers graves!</description>
