I found this decaying beauty just down the road from the Bingham’s Orchard mural last autumn.
I really wish I would have taken a bit more time and gone across the street to take more pictures … it’s kind of a unique opportunity because you can view the surrounding countryside through the vacant windows. I’ve Googled this house several times and I haven’t come up with any history about it.
What a beauty. I can’t imagine there’s much chance that it’s still there 7 years later, is there? I don’t get to Franklin County much on purpose, though I really should try for more “Without a Purpose” drives. Those are always the best.
I think the last time that I was down in that area was the summer before last and it was still there. I really should have stopped to take better pictures, though.
