from Amanda:
While making our way through Arizona, we stopped in a random town simply because we were tired and ready to call it a day. We had no idea we’d stumbled upon the Superstition Mountain Museum which features some of the buildings salvaged from the nearby Apacheland Movie Ranch (where many western movies and television shows were filmed).

We learned that the original Apacheland had almost completely burned down but there were a few relics that remained; the church, a barn with tons of great photos of actors, and a jail.

Wendyvee: Thanks to Amanda for this wonderful find! I haven’t been to Arizona since my grandparents took me long ago. I really need to remedy that soon! On a side note, I have known Amanda for years and I believe it’s absolutely impossible to find a picture of her that isn’t absolutely adorable.
