West Virginia’s Tiny Church

Tiny Church
Our Lady of the Pines
Horse Shoe Run, West Virginia
submitted by “Slicks” (John)

Slicks (the only RoadsideWonder-er authorized to share a roof with your hostess, Wendyvee) is back with another “find” from the Summer of ’09!

This is Our Lady of the Pines in Horse Shoe Run, West Virginia. It bills itself at the “Smallest Church in 48 states … although, at 24′ x 12′ there is plenty of artistic license to that claim 🙂

The church was open when John visited – click on the image with the handwritten note in the photo gallery below. What is wrong with people?

Also, check out our other “tiny church” entry – in South Newport, Georgia!

  1. Wow, that is unbelievably low.

Is this church on rt219 not far from a wind farm? We stopped to look at the windmills once and i seem to recall having seen the sign for a tiny church.
