Imaginary Jeffersons
Towne House Suites & Apartments
660 Boas Street
Harrisburg, Pennsylvania
If you’ve seen my Pennsylvania Worker post, you may have noticed the 60s-era apartment building in the background. While not the most stylish example of the time period, I share it here because every time I pass this building it causes me belt out the theme song from The Jeffersons.
Apparently, I have poor memory of late 70s sitcoms because in reality The Townhouse on Boas Street in Harrisburg has very little in common with 185 East 85th Street on Manhattan’s Upper East Side.
It’s a good thing that I have never leased an apartment at The Townhouse — I would be apt to get some funny looks when I did my “George Jefferson Walk” through the lobby and no one would understand why I was doing it 🙂
And here I was thinking it was about a stack of $2 bills! Anything that can make you start to sing this theme song is a good thing – it’s very uplifting 🙂
My imaginary $$ is all Benjamins; not Jeffersons 🙂
I like this building. My significant other said “What’s to like?” and I said “I don’t know.” Maybe it’s the yellow. Or that it looks a little bit Lego. Or maybe this wine is stronger than I think.
