Jeff’s submission brought a big grin when I saw it.

How cool is this . . . a real life version of “Tow Mater” from the movie Cars —  along Route 104 in Mifflinburg, Pennsylvania (just about 1.5 hrs from the RoadsideWonders Home Office, LOL)

  1. I drove past it and thought cool old tow truck. then I saw the eyes on the winshield and said Mator! Didn’t get to take a pic but it was really cool.

    1. Rumor has it that someone else has one along the road in Lebanon County … I’ll have to take a ride over and see if I can find it sometime sooon 🙂

      1. The owner of that bus sold it years ago. 🙁 It was PRISTINE with not a cent spared on its restoration. But he and his wife cycle through cars all the time and usually have 10 on hand at any given time. :O

  2. Hey! this ‘Mater’ is at my shop at CPR Auto Center. Glad you were able to take a pic with your motorcycle and surprised to see it on the WWW fifth row from the top. WooHoo! The truck on the pic is a 1941 Dodge Power wagon ammo truck converted into a tow truck and actually used for towing by Manbeck Motors. Sadly just recently (week of Aug 7, 2011)The owner took it to store in a barn in Lewisburg. Locally there was such a uproar that he was missing I had to scurry for a replacement. Comming September 2011 Mater will be in the shell of a 1947 GMC w a Holmes wrecker body. Thanks again for posting the pic.. Everyone is always welcome to stop in and get pics.

    1. Cool! Thanks for stopping by. I was tickeled when Jeff sent this in.

Be sure to let me know when your replacement is ready and I’ll take a ride up and take another pic 🙂
