I have passed On A Whim several times over the years and it always seems that I’m in a hurry to get somewhere else (most recently, on my trip to the Flying Circus); so I haven’t stopped there yet . Mike was kind enough to point his scoot in that direction and shared some great pics!
Apparently, there are some nasty Grinches who object to the silo’s color (I.M.O. – most likely McMansion builders who have migrated from D.C/Reston area). Boo! This rural section of Route 15 has always been a bit funky … which is what makes it so awesome!

You really should post a warning about stopping at On a Whim when riding a motorcycle. If you are even remotely interested in cool/funky home decor finds, you will absolutely be kicking yourself for not having the storage space needed to get all of your new-found treasures home. Lettered Cottage fans, DON’T GO on a motorcycle. Trust me. It’s an awesome little shop.
