At long last, I got the chance to visit the Wheeling, West Virginia Madonna. She resides at a peaceful location on the outskirts of Wheeling, directly on Route 40. She is on the backside of the 9th hole at one of Wheeling’s golf courses.Click the “Madonna of the Trail” tag at the end of this post to see some of the other madonnas that my friends have captured!
The only disappointment upon locating her, was the terrible job that someone did in sealing the seams in the base of the statue. They used what looks like ugly white bathroom caulking — not attractive!
